The tour begins at 7:30 AM with passenger pick-up from their hotels in downtown Calafate. We will travel approximately 45 km along a route that takes us through the rural area, allowing us to appreciate picturesque wooden houses along the way.
Upon arrival at From the port of Punta Bandera , on Lake Argentino , we will board a modern and comfortable vessel, which at approximately 08.15 AM, will leave the port behind to begin the navigation .
Passing through imposing icebergs, we begin our journey along the northern arm of Lake Argentino, reaching the permitted navigation limit in the Upsala Channel, where we`ll have a panoramic view of the face of the glacier of the same name . We`ll continue sailing along the Upsala Channel to the landing point at Estancia Cristina , where we`ll arrive around 11:30 am.
We will spend approximately six hours at the Estancia, during which we will visit the Folkloric Museum , located in what used to be an old shearing shed, where you will be introduced to the history of the Estancia. After this, we will begin a short and pleasant walk of approximately 30 minutes to visit the Caterina River and the Chapel , and then explore the historic center of the Estancia.
Once we have visited the most important points of the Estancia, you will be able to enjoy free time for lunch. and continue exploring the area.
Around 5:30 PM, we will return to the vessel to begin the return trip to Punta Bandera Port. After disembarking, at approximately 7:30 PM, passengers will be taken back to their hotels, concluding the tour.
