The service begins by meeting us at our offices in San Telmo.
From there, just a few blocks away, you`ll find three graffiti murals very close to each other. During the tour, the guide will answer your questions and assist you with taking photos of the murals. Among the graffiti in San Telmo, you`ll find Lionel Messi making the famous "Topo Gigio" gesture, a mural of Diego Maradona carrying a soccer ball, and Ángel Di María in his iconic goal celebration, making a heart with his hands.
After the third mural, and having walked only three blocks, a car will be waiting to take us to the next very famous graffiti in Buenos Aires: the world`s largest mural of Diego Maradona . We`ll also see another mural by the same artist, this time of Lionel Messi.
Once we`ve finished taking photos and seeing the murals in San Telmo, we`ll drive to the neighborhood where Diego Maradona grew up : La Paternal. This neighborhood holds great significance because of its home club, Argentinos Juniors, whose stadium is named after Diego Armando Maradona and whose nickname is "The Seedbed of the World" for its reputation for producing great players.
The entire block surrounding the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium is covered in graffiti depicting him from his childhood, youth, and adulthood. We`ll explore the stadium`s exterior to learn about the life of the man long considered the greatest football player in the world, and we`ll conclude our visit to the neighborhood by going to the first house Maradona owned after his time in Villa Fiorito.
After our visit to La Paternal, the car will take us to the Palermo neighborhood, which, though more modern, is no less important. There we`ll see graffiti depicting the 2022 World Cup-winning Argentine team , such as Emiliano "Dibu" Martínez`s save in one of the final plays before the penalty shootout, or a mural of Lionel Messi lifting the trophy with the team. We`ll also pass by a bar whose facade is painted with the faces of the three captains of the World Cup-winning team in 1978, 1986, and 2022: Daniel Passarella, Diego Maradona, and Lionel Messi.
After walking this route and as a way to end the tour, we will go for a snack at a cafe in the Palermo neighborhood (snack included) around 5 pm.
