Details of Day Tours

The tour will begin in the morning in the San Telmo neighborhood, one of the oldest and most classic in the City.

From there you will head to the Puerto Madero neighborhood where you will pass by the Docks.

A 20-minute bike ride will take you to the Recoleta neighborhood, specifically to Café la Biela. Here you will find the sculpture of Jorge Luis Borges, an Argentine poet and writer, considered one of the greatest storytellers of the 20th century. Special mention will be made of the poem "Sonnet of Wine" dedicated to the national drink.

A few meters away is the Basílica Nuestra Sra. del Pilar. The guide will tell you how wine entered America through Catholicism.

In the Palermo neighborhood, you will visit the Instituto Nacional Sanmartiniano. Here, an unforgettable anecdote about José de San Martin and wine will be mentioned.

The next stop will be the Bosques de Palermo. There you will find the sculpture of Domingo Faustino Sarmiento. He was the one who brought the Malbec grape variety and was one of the presidents most interested in wine production in Argentina.

Where the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET) is currently located, was the Giol winery. It was one of the largest wineries in the country and next to it is the train that brought wine from the Province of Mendoza to Buenos Aires to be packaged in the factories.

Finally, you will reach the "Sommelier en Bicicleta" winery. There you can taste a cheese board accompanied by the national drink.

Once the tasting is over, the guided bike tour will end.
