Crossing the Andes Mountains via the Garibaldi Pass
Returning to the legendary National Route No. 3, we arrive at Garibaldi Pass, the highest point on the highway and one of the most iconic places in Tierra del Fuego. From here, you`ll cross the Andes mountain range at its southern end, offering stunning panoramic views of forests, lakes, and mountains stretching into the horizon.
Walk along Lake Fagnano
Our next stop will be at the historic Puesto La Carmen, where a hot drink awaits us before beginning a hike along the shore of Lake Fagnano. This immense lake, also known by the indigenous Ona people as “The Rest of the Horizon”, is striking for its magnitude and the way it visually cuts through the mountain range. It`s a unique setting to contemplate and photograph.
Mirador del Lago Escondido
At noon we will arrive at the Mirador del Lago Escondido, a calm lake hidden in a deep valley between mountains. Surrounded by forests, this place exudes a serene atmosphere and is one of the most photographed spots in Tierra del Fuego.
Lunch at a winter resort and return to Ushuaia
The experience continues with the return to a winter resort, where we will have free time to enjoy a typical Fuegian lunch and relax in a setting of pure nature. After the break, we begin our journey back to the city of Ushuaia, with the satisfaction of having explored some of the most emblematic landscapes of the end of the world.
