About this tour
From 08:00, we will go through their hotels to search for them and begin the journey to the Andorra Valley, the place where many neighbors settled and formed one of the characteristic spontaneous urbanizations of Ushuaia.
At 08:30 a.m., after leaving the vehicle, the walk continues along a melting river that crosses the peat bog that covers the valley. This wet and slippery ground will be encountered throughout much of the walk, so it is important to wear appropriate footwear.
Once in the forest, the ascent is constant, and although it is intense at the beginning, it is less demanding near the vegetation line, about 600 meters above sea level, where we will arrive near the 10:30 a.m. Once above the tree line, the views of the steep peaks of the mountain range that surrounds the valley where the hike began.
At 11.30 am, the ascent continues along a stream of water that is fed by a glacial lagoon where, a few decades ago, the Vinciguerra glacier used to break and release icebergs. Although today The glacier retreated a few dozen meters from the lagoon, the glacier is even more interesting for the caves that are formed and the magic gravitation that you still have in this area of impressive views.
Close to 12.30 pm we arrive at the foot of the glacier, where we will have our lunch. An hour later we began the descent to reach our vehicles around 4:00 p.m. and return to the hotels in Ushuaia
