Don't miss this exclusive excursion , the only one that will allow you to visit and walk on Martillo Island , habitat of one of the three Magellanic Penguin colonies and a Gentoo Penguin colony, always accompanied by experienced guides, the only ones authorized to guide on this Island.
We will also sail through the Beagle Channel to reach Isla de Lobos (Sea Lion Island) and Isla de Pájaros (Bird Island ). From the boat, we will be able to see a great variety of local wildlife, such as cormorants and sea lions with their pups. We will also pass by the famous Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse , known as the Lighthouse at the End of the World .
The group will consist of only 20 people to ensure the protection of the animals and their habitat.
We will start our day by meeting at our office on the Ushuaia tourist pier.
From there, we will board a bus to travel along Route No. 3 and Route J , heading towards Isla Martillo while exploring the beautiful Fuegian forest.
We will approach our boating area and sail for approximately 20 minutes in a semi-rigid boat to the island. There, we will disembark and spend an hour walking alongside Magellanic and Gentoo penguins , accompanied by a specialized guide who will provide us with information about the lives of these animals , as well as recommendations and precautions for when we are near them.
After the free hour to walk with the penguins, we will begin our return to the city of Ushuaia.
That's not all, because we'll meet again at our office this afternoon to continue exploring Ushuaia. At the dock, we'll check in and then set sail on our boat along the stunning Beagle Channel.
We will depart from the tourist pier, sailing across Ushuaia Bay until we reach the Beagle Channel via Paso Chico . There, we will navigate around Bird Island , where we can appreciate the Fuegian birdlife. Then, we will approach Sea Lion Island , where we will observe South American sea lions and fur seals , always accompanied by an explanation from a professional guide.
Upon arriving at the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, we will be able to see the colonies of imperial and rock cormorants , while listening to the story of the sinking of the SS Monte Cervantes, which occurred in 1930. We will have a few minutes for everyone to take photos of the Lighthouse.
Continuing our journey, we will head to and disembark on Karelo Island , part of the Bridges Islands , where we will observe Yámana shell middens . We will then take a guided walk, approximately 20 minutes long and of very low difficulty, which will lead us to a panoramic viewpoint where excellent photographs can be taken.
At the end of the journey, we will be able to distinguish the view of the mountain range that surrounds the city of Ushuaia and the nature that surrounds it, and we will return to the tourist pier at night after a day full of historical and scenic value.
