About this tour


After the pick up at your accommodation located in Santa Marta, the Paddle adventure begins at the Parador Turístico de Pueblo Viejo. There, our accompanying guide will give you a warm welcome and provide the necessary instructions along with the equipment that we will use during the tour. Equipped and ready, we embark on our paddleboards to enter the calm waters of the Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta.

As we advance, we navigate between the natural tunnels formed by mangroves, an impressive spectacle of nature. The environment is serene and majestic, with the possibility of spotting a large number of exotic birds that inhabit this region. Our destination is the mouth of the swamp into the sea, located at the Puente de la Barra, a structure that connects Pueblo Viejo with Isla del Rosario. 

Upon arrival, we will stop at a cozy kiosk to rest and enjoy the scenery. After this brief respite, we resume our journey, this time along a different route that will allow us to enjoy the splendor of the sunset over the swamp. 

On the way back, we will have the opportunity to observe local fishermen casting their cast nets, a scene that adds an authentic touch to our experience. The tour concludes with the sky tinged with warm colors, leaving a lasting impression of this beautiful and hidden Colombian landscape.

We will return to Santa Marta around 6 PM.
