  • 08:30 am - Meeting and departure from San Gil:
We will meet at your accommodation in San Gil, from there we will begin our trip to Guadalupe. During the journey, our expert guide will share information about the Santander region, its history, geography, and the attractions we will visit.

  • 10:00 am - Arrival in Guadalupe:
Upon arriving in Guadalupe, we will immerse ourselves in its charming colonial atmosphere with a City Tour of the town. We will visit the picturesque main park, surrounded by palm trees and highlighted by the imposing presence of the Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe parish, an architectural monument dating back to the 18th century that represents an important manifestation of colonial religious art in Santander. You will learn relevant facts and the cultural importance of this temple for the local community.

  • 11:00 am - Ecological walk to Las Gachas:
We set off on an exciting ecological walk to Las Gachas, a unique natural formation in the ravine of the same name. Along the way, we will encounter lush vegetation, made up of a variety of endemic flora and fauna species. Among them, trees such as the guayacán, the cedar, the myrtle and the oak stand out, as well as a great diversity of herbaceous plants, shrubs and ferns that thrive in the humid and rocky environments of Las Gachas.

The guide will provide you with information about the ecological importance of this ecosystem and its contribution to the biodiversity of Santander. Along the way, you will surely be able to spot some squirrels, opossums and lizards. 

  • 12:30 pm - Visit and swim in the natural jacuzzis:
Once in Las Gachas, a true paradise opens up before us. We will enjoy the impressive rock formations sculpted by water over the years, creating a series of natural pools known as "Natural Jacuzzis". Our guide will explain the geological origin of Las Gachas and its importance as a tourist attraction in the region.

You will have time to immerse yourself in a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters of the ravine, contemplate the spectacular surroundings, and soak up the tranquility that emanates from the place.

  • 2:30 pm - Lunch:
We head to a restaurant A place to enjoy a typical regional lunch, consisting of traditional Santander dishes that stand out for their authentic flavor and fresh, local ingredients. During lunch, our guide tells us about Santander's gastronomy and its cultural influences.

  • 4:00 pm - Free time in Guadalupe:
After lunch, we will have free time to explore more of Guadalupe on our own, compare some souvenirs, and capture the best pictures of the town. 

  • 5:00 pm - Return to San Gil:
We conclude our day in Guadalupe and the Gachas by embarking on the return trip to San Gil.
