About this tour
We will leave our hotel in Santiago early in the morning between 5:00 and 5:30 AM to head to Farellones and Valle Nevado.
We will make a brief stop at a rental office before starting the climb, where you can rent snow clothes, gloves, booties, sleds, or ski equipment (not included in the price).
Then, we'll continue our journey and begin to enter the legendary Road of 40 Curves, about 46 km from the city.
Along the way, we'll already be able to begin to appreciate the beautiful landscape of the Andes Mountains. If we're lucky, we might spot some Andean wildlife, such as viscachas, foxes, pumas, and condors. From the halfway point, we'll start to see the long-awaited snow.
In approximately an hour, we'll arrive at the Valle Nevado Ski Center, located in the heart of the Andes. This center offers more than 9,300 hectares of skiable terrain and a total of more than 37 kilometers distributed over 44 slopes, divided by degree of difficulty.
We'll have time to enjoy the ski and snowboard slopes. If you're a beginner, you can take lessons with professional instructors to learn or improve your skills on the snow, or simply enjoy this beautiful white landscape.
During the descent, if weather conditions permit, we can visit the Pueblito de Farellones, a charming mountain village that serves as the entry point to the ski and snowboard
resorts in winter. Here we can explore the local shops, cafes, and restaurants.
We will have the option to visit Farellones Park, where you can do activities such as tubing, skiing, a cable car ride, and much more. Entrance to Farellones Park is not included in the package and is optional. You can purchase your ticket directly on-site when you arrive.
We will have until 3:00 p.m. to enjoy the snow, the scenery, and the activities. At that time, we will meet at the meeting point to begin the descent down the mountain and return to Santiago.
