About this tour
Our tour begins at 09:30 AM, with the pick up at your place of accommodation. We will head towards Tayrona National Natural Park along the Troncal del Caribe highway.
A Once at the gates of the park, in the Cañaveral sector, we will get out of the car, we will carry out the mandatory entry registration of each traveler and the purchase of the entry ticket.
We will advance inside from the park in a 20 to 30 minute walk that will take us to Bahía Concha. Walking within the National Park will be a unique and unforgettable experience. As you progress along the trails, you will feel completely immersed in nature and disconnected from the outside world.
The hike to Bahía Concha is a quiet and pleasant route, and is suitable for all types of visitors. It is important to wear comfortable shoes and be willing to negotiate some steep and slippery sections typical of thetropical jungle. The sound of birds and howler monkeys will accompany us throughout the tour . The vegetation will be lush and varied, andyou will be able to see different species of plants and trees, such as the cedar tree, the wax palm and the ceiba.
In addition to the vegetation, you can find different species of animals such as iguanas, coatis , brightly colored birdsand, if you`re lucky, even an ocelot or jaguar. Also along the way, you will find different viewpoints that offer impressive views of the Caribbean Sea and the park`s beaches.
After crossing the jungle, the rocky path will take us to the coast, drastically changing the landscape; we will border the crystalline waters of the Caribbean Sea to Finally, after approximately half an hour of walking, you reach Bahía Concha. The beach is stunning, with white sand and crystal clear waters of deep turquoise blue. The beach is quite wide and offers enough space to relax, sunbathe and enjoy the sea .
We will enjoy the beach from noon until 03 PM approx. In Bahía Concha, there is also a small area where you can find shops that offer food and drinks, as well as some basic services such as showers and bathrooms. The guide will give you all the necessary instructions for your visit. Concha Bay is unforgettable.
After relaxing in the beach and explore on your own the trails that surround the bay, we will return to the entrance gate of the national park along the same path, to arrive back in Santa Marta at approximately 04:00 PM
