About this tour

Departing from San Pedro de Atacama, at the agreed time, we will head towards the Heart of the Desert. The fresh, clean air will fill us with energy as we advance until we reach our destination in the Puritama and Guatin Canyon.

This experience combines natural beauty, hot springs, and the ancestral culture of the local communities.

 

We will begin our trekkingby immersing ourselves in these impressive and diverse landscapes. We`ll skirt the canyon along a winding path along the stream`s banks, where we`ll be able to see the high rock walls until we reach a series of natural hot spring pools , warm and revitalizing.

 

We`ll have the opportunity to immerse ourselves and refresh ourselves in these natural pools. A dip in these hot springs will allow us to continue our adventure. We recommend wearing a swimsuit under your clothes, as there are no bathrooms or changing rooms on-site.

 

After enjoying these waters and replenishing our energy, we will continue our trek to Guatin, a small community nestled in the Chilean Altiplano. Along the way, we will appreciate panoramic views of the mountainous landscape and the unique rock formations of the region.

 

In Guatin, we will immerse ourselves in the local culture and the community`s hospitality. Here we will have the opportunity to meet the local inhabitants and learn about their ancestral traditions. A visit to Guatin will allow us to experience life in the highlands and better understand how these communities have thrived in such a challenging environment for centuries.

Stunning hot springs

Real hot springs are good for your body and for your soul. I felt revitalized after that daytour in Puritama. Ideal if you come from the uyuni tour as it will relaxed your all after 4 days in a 4x4. recommended!
