We will depart from San Pedro de Atacama to head towards a secret corner of the Desert. If you choose the option with transfer, we will pick you up at your hotel at the agreed time. If you chose without transfer, we will meet in the center of San Pedro. We will contact you to finalize the details.
We will depart from San Pedro while the fresh, clean air fills us with energy until we reach our destination, starting in the Catarpe Valley. An oasis in the middle of the desert, a river flows through here, making it the only green valley in the Cordillera de la Sal, which contrasts sharply with the aridity of its surroundings. We'll be able to see intriguing rock formations as well as its small and beautiful Church.
From here, we'll continue pedaling until we reach the highest point of our experience today, Garganta del Diablo, an impressive reddish rock canyon that stretches for several kilometers. This narrow canyon, with walls that reach up to 150 meters high, has been carved by water and wind for thousands of years, creating a wonderful geological formation.
Pedaling through the "Devil's Throat" is not only about the thrill of cycling, but also about connecting with nature in its purest state. We'll stop to appreciate the serenity of a bubbling brook or the intense green of the surrounding vegetation, with a little luck.
We'll continue until we come across El Túnel, a path through the mountains to begin our return to San Pedro.
