About this tour

Get ready for an unforgettable experience by descending the imposing Cuesta del Obispo on a Mountain Bike, one of the most beautiful mountain ranges in northern Argentina.

The experience begins when we depart by vehicle from Salta Capital towards Piedra del Molino, ascending to 3,348 m.a.s.l., the summit of Cuesta del Obispo and the highest point in Los Cardones National Park. Once there, we get equipped, the guide who accompanies us gives a technical talk for everyone`s safety, and we begin the first 20 km of descent. We will make strategic stops for photos, hydration and to enjoy the scenery.

Upon reaching the base of the Cuesta, a delicious lunch awaits us to recharge our batteries.

Then, we will continue our mountain bike adventure for another 20 km, entering the Quebrada de Escoipe, where the reddish rocky slabs predominate, contrasting with the ochre of the hills, and little by little we enter the greenest part, entering the Lerma Valley again. The tour ends at the old metal bridge called "Mal Paso", completing a total of 40 km of descent.

After storing the equipment and bicycles, we will begin the return by vehicle to Salta Capital, leaving you at your accommodation or meeting point, around 6:00 p.m.

Also: -Sports pants, shorts, cycling tights (long or short, comfortable for cycling). -Quick-drying shirts, preferably long because of the sun. -Waterproof jacket (windbreaker). -Warm jacket. -Comfortable shoes for cycling. -Cap, sunscreen and clear or sunglasses. -Passenger medical assistance insurance or up-to-date social security. -Camera.
