About this tour
The Cornisa trail through the Yungas Jungle offers a unique experience for cycling enthusiasts. Large trees, vines and lush vegetation accompany this route of between 30 and 45 km.
We will begin the excursion by leaving Salta Capital by vehicle around 9:00 hs, and then head towards the Campo Alegre Dam or the RN 9 Road Post, where we will prepare the bicycles and the necessary equipment to begin, after the corresponding safety talk, our journey towards El Carmen, in the neighboring province of Jujuy.
Throughout the journey, we will have the company of a guide who will lead us through the lush vegetation that characterizes the Yungas Forest and we will make photo stops to capture the beauty of a unique landscape, which is shared by the provinces of Jujuy, Salta, Tucumán and Catamarca.
Upon arriving at the La Carmen Dam, we will take a walk along the La Carmen Dam, where we will be able to enjoy the views of the mountains and the surrounding countryside. Ciénaga, in the town of El Carmen, we will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant with stunning views of the water and the surrounding mountains.
After lunch, we will return to Salta Capital by vehicle, dropping you off at your hotel or meeting point around 4:00 p.m.
