Our encounter point is at Marina da Glória, where we board a full equiped catamaran. From the start, you`ll enjoy panoramic views of Rio`s famous coastline. The futuristic Museum of Tomorrow, located in the revitalized Porto Maravilha area, appears as a stunning spot to sight.
As we advance into the sea, we pass the Ilha de Villegagnon, home to the Naval Academy. Also the Santos Dumont Airport, offering a close-up view of aircraft taking off and landing over the bay.
Our journey continues to Ilha Fiscal, famous for holding the last imperial ball before Brazil became a republic. Nearby, the Navy Arsenal offers a glimpse into the country’s naval history, its towering ships and vibrant docks adding to the experience.
Crossing under the impressive Rio-Niterói Bridge, one of the longest bridges in South America, we head toward Niterói. The famous Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC) stands out with its unique flying saucer design. This building is a work of art by architect Oscar Niemeyer.
As the boat continues its route, we approach the serene beaches of Adão and Eva in Niterói. Sailing further, we pass the imposing Fortress of Santa Cruz and the Forte da Lage, both integral to Brazil’s colonial defense system.
