Day 1: Quito – Bellavista | Nature and exploration

  • 6:30 am: Hotel pick-up in Quito
  • Transfer via the Calacalí – Nanegalito route (approx. 1h50 + 30 min final)
  • Arrival at the lodge in the Tandayapa Valley
  • Welcome, check-in and breakfast
  • Introductory guided hike (2+ hours)
  • 13:00 approx.: Lunch
  • Hike along a different trail in the afternoon
  • Dinner and accommodation
  • Possible wildlife sightings such as the olinguito at the lodge

Day 2: Birds, waterfalls and return

  • 06:15 – 06:30 am: Optional birdwatching walk
  • 8:00 am: Breakfast
  • Final hike along trails (visit to waterfalls – Yumbo Trail)
  • 13:00: Lunch
  • 15:00: Departure for Quito
