About this tour

This exciting excursion will take place by vehicle and will last approximately 8 hours. We will reach a maximum altitude of 4,200 meters above sea level, so we recommend bringing a coat to ensure your comfort. Departure is scheduled for 9:30 a.m., and return is planned between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m.

The tour begins with your arrival in the town of Purmamarca, where you will have the opportunity to visit the Humahuaca Gorge, recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. There you can admire the famous Cerro de los Siete Colores, one of the impressive landscapes within the Quebrada.

Our journey will take us to the town of Tilcara, where you can admire the Pucará de Tilcara, a defensive construction from the pre-Hispanic era that you can visit on this tour. 

As the altitude reaches 2940 meters above sea level, we will make a transfer to Hornacal and a stop to change to a vehicle suitable for the road and be able to reach the viewpoint of the Cerro de los Catorce Colores mountain ranges, where the altitude will exceed 4300 meters above sea level. 

Continuing, we will head to Uquía, where one of the main attractions is the Church of San Francisco de Paula, since inside you can find the famous paintings of the Angels Arquebuceros. 

Advancing further along the Quebrada, we will arrive at Huacalera, passing through the emblematic Paso del Trópico de Capricornio, from where you can admire the  colors of the hill known as Pollera de la Colla.

From the Tropic of Capricorn, we will head to Maimará, another of the towns that includes the Quebrada de Humahuaca, where you can enjoy impressive views of Cerro La Paleta del Pintor, at 2390 meters above sea level. 

Finally, we will make a last stop traveling the Jujuy routes to return to the downtown area of Jujuy between 5:30 and 6:00 pm, where we will drop you off at the previously agreed meeting point.
