Travelling in Purmamarca

In Purmamarca you can enjoy various tourist activities such as touring the famous Cerro de los Siete Colores, walking along the Paseo de los Colorados, visiting the Plaza 9 de Julio and its craft market, and exploring the Church of Santa Rosa de Lima. In addition, you can take excursions to the Quebrada de Humahuaca and the Salinas Grandes.

To get to Purmamarca from Buenos Aires, you can take a flight of approximately 2 hours to San Salvador de Jujuy, the capital of the province of Jujuy. From there, Purmamarca is about 70 kilometers away and you can get there by bus, rental car or taxi. The road trip takes about an hour and offers spectacular views of the region.

In Purmamarca, accommodation options range from boutique hotels and traditional inns to cabins and hostels. Purmamarca has an arid and temperate climate, with great variation in temperatures between day and night.
