We will also visit the Punta Arenas Cathedral Church, a beautiful neo-Gothic building, and Cerro la Cruz, with its colorful views of the city, the Strait of Magellan, and Tierra del Fuego Island.
Finally, we will also visit the northern part of the city with its monuments, such as those dedicated to the Sheepdog, the Croatian immigrant, and oil.

Today we will enjoy a beautiful experience together in this southernmost city. We will begin by checking out of the hotel at the agreed-upon time.
Punta Arenas is a city near the southernmost tip of Chilean Patagonia. It is located on the Strait of Magellan, which connects the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, and is often used as a base for excursions to the surrounding nature and Antarctica.
It was founded in 1848 in this extreme south. It was initially a penal colony and later became an important hub for European immigrants and those from the Chiloé archipelago. It currently has about 100,000 inhabitants.
During this beautiful adventure, we will visit monuments and emblematic places in the city. We will start at Plaza Muñoz Gamero, which has been the heart of Punta Arenas since the late 19th century. It is always bustling with activity and boasts several craft stalls where you can buy local souvenirs. We will also visit the Monument to Hernando de Magallanes, the navigator who gave the strait its name. We will also admire the Cathedral Church of Punta Arenas and other neo-Gothic buildings built by cattle ranching magnates.
We will also have the opportunity, if you choose, to stop at one of the city's museums and cultural centers, such as the Museo Salesiano Maggiorino Bergatello, which houses a rich collection of historical and cultural artifacts, or the Nao Victoria, a full-scale replica of Hernando de Magellan's ship, the first to circumnavigate the world. A unique attraction in Magellan, it allows you to experience the onboard experience through ambient sounds, replicas of everyday objects, navigational instruments, and artillery. Stepping back 500 years in history. (Museum admission not included in the regular tour.)
And as the culmination of the city tour, we will visit the Cerro de la Cruz, which offers stunning panoramic views of the city, as well as the Strait of Magellan and Tierra del Fuego Island, making it an ideal place to take photographs and enjoy the beauty of the region.
