About this tour
Day 1 | Welcome to Puerto Madryn
Upon your arrival at Trelew Airport, a vehicle will be waiting to transfer you to your selected hotel in Puerto Madryn.
After check-in you will have free time to explore the coastal city, walk along the promenade facing the Golfo Nuevo or relax before starting your excursions.
Accommodation: Selected hotel in standard room with breakfast included.
Day 2 | Valdés Peninsula
After breakfast you will depart for the spectacular Valdés Peninsula , one of the main marine wildlife sanctuaries on the planet and a Natural World Heritage Site.
During the tour, you will visit the Carlos Ameghino Interpretation Center , Puerto Pirámides, Caleta Valdés, and Punta Cantor, where you can observe different species depending on the season: sea lions, elephant seals, Magellanic penguins, and, with a bit of luck, the famous orcas. Whale watching is available during whale season (not included).
In addition, along the way you will frequently find guanacos, rheas, maras, gray foxes and other species typical of the Patagonian steppe.
At the end of the excursion you will return to Puerto Madryn.
Day 3 | Punta Tombo and Dolphin Watching
After breakfast you will travel to the Punta Tombo Provincial Reserve , home to the most important continental colony of Magellanic penguins in South America.
You will walk along specially prepared trails that allow you to walk among thousands of penguins while observing their behavior during the breeding season.
In the afternoon you will have another unforgettable experience with a boat trip to see Commerson`s dolphins , small cetaceans characteristic of the Patagonian coasts that often swim very close to the boats.
At the end of the activity you will return to Puerto Madryn.
Day 4 | End of trip
After breakfast, and depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred to Trelew Airport to begin your return journey.
