We will pick you up from your hotel in Pucón early in the morning at the agreed time to depart east, 33 km from Pucón. We will arrive at the impressive Huerquehue National Park, which covers approximately 12,500 hectares.
This park is characterized by being a mountainous area with medium slopes and an impressive unique beauty where we will find ravines, hills, Araucaria and Lenga forests among other wonders.
It also has a very special fauna such as Darwin's Frog , the Culpeo Fox and the Chilean Condor in the higher parts of Huerquehue.
It also boasts an amazing network of trails that have made it one of the favorite parks for nature lovers and trekking enthusiasts.
Among the countless trails, you'll find: Los Lagos , an 8.8 km trail that takes about 7 hours round trip; the Quinchol trail, a 5 km trail that takes about 4 hours round trip; Los Huerquenes , a 20.7 km trail that requires 2 days of trekking; and the San Sebastián trail, an 8 km trail that takes about 10 hours. round trip, or the Ñirrico trail, which is only 0.8 km long and takes approximately 1 hour round trip.
Huerquehue National Park has an environment mostly located in the Andean-Patagonian Forest Region and within the Araucanía Mountain Range.
The largest watercourses in the park are the Renahue Blanco River and the Quinchol River . In addition, there are more than 20 lakes, most of which are smaller than 7.5 hectares. The most important are Lake Toro (27.5 hectares) and Lake Verde (32.5 hectares), as well as Lakes Chica, Los Patos, Huerquehue, Escondida, Seca, Clara, Angelina, and Los Cóndores, among others.
Almost all of these bodies of water belong to one of the most important basins in the region , the Toltén River .
