With this tour you can spend a special day immersing yourself in prehistory! We will visit the Sanagasta Valley, where fossils and plants between 65 and 90 million years old were found.

We can imagine what life would be like in the Cretaceous period looking at the spectacular panorama of the geological park, where nests of dinosaur eggs were found, which are believed to belong to titanosaurian sauropods that have belonged to the area.

We will walk through the red earth and pass through intricate passages of the Red Valley, and marvel at the views of the area from the walls. It will be an unforgettable visit!

About this tour


Our visit will begin by leaving from La Rioja Capital, visiting Las Padercitas, Dique de Los Sauces, Villa Sanagasta, Mirador, the Salamanca Caves and going up the hill we will go to Puerta del Huaco, where we will enter with our vehicle to the Geological Park of the Dinosaurs.

Then we will make a walk through the Valle Rojo, to the top of the Paredones where we will have a spectacular panoramic view. After touring the area and learn more about the prehistoric inhabitants of the place, we will return to La Rioja Capital.
