The hike takes you from Schönau, through a picturesque pine forestand extensive pampaswith open views of the mountains. The trail leads to Arroyo La Puente, where the water disappears beneath a large rocky basin and reappears meters further on.
Amidst willows and native vegetation, you'll enjoy a moment of rest and complete connection with the environment, in a place where silence and serenity are the main features.
The Arroyo La Puente Trek begins on the entrance route to the village of La Cumbrecita, in La Pampita, at 1,420 meters above sea level. From this point, the path invites you to enter a mountain environment of great beauty and to discover little-traveled corners.
The first part of the route runs south, crossing the pine forest that runs alongside the Las Mojarras stream. The trail then winds its way through highland pampas, where the horizon stretches unhindered and the mountain ranges are revealed in all their splendor.
The destination is the La Puente stream, which we follow upstream until we reach the area known as Los Corrales. There, an imposing rocky basin hides the water underground, only to let it reappear a few meters further on in a peaceful surface course. The place is a true example of the strength and patience of nature in its geological process.
After exploring this unique setting and enjoying lunch at the foot of the basin, among willows and native vegetation, it's time to relax. With free time to explore the area or cool off in its waters, the day ends with the return to La Cumbrecita, taking with it the calm and beauty of the mountains.

La caminata al arroyo La Puente fue perfecta. Los paisajes son de ensueño y el guía fue súper amable y conocedor. Ideal para desconectar, respirar aire puro y disfrutar de la naturaleza. El almuerzo junto al arroyo fue simplemente maravilloso. Lo recomiendo sin reservas a todos los amantes del senderismo y la aventura.

The guide was super friendly and knew tons about the area, which made the whole experience way more interesting. The scenery is just wow and there's something really magical about being surrounded by such untouched beauty. Plus, snapping pics was a blast! Perfect balance of adventure and relaxation. A trilha pelo Arroyo La Puente foi simplesmente incrível! A natureza ao redor é deslumbrante e o guia super amigável. Recomendo para aqueles que curtem um bom trekking em meio à paisagens lindas. Leve um bom par de tênis!
Diese Wanderung in La Cumbrecita war einfach atemberaubend! Die Natur ist unglaublich schön und friedlich. Der Fluss gibt der ganzen Erfahrung einen ruhigen Klangteppich. Unsere Guides waren super informiert und lustig. Der Pfad ist nicht zu schwierig, also auch für Leute ohne viel Trekking-Erfahrung geeignet. Die Aussichtspunkte sind ein Traum, unbedingt die Kamera mitnehmen! Ein absolut unvergesslicher Tag in Argentinien. Absolut empfehlenswert!
J'ai adoré mon aventure avec Tangol Tours à La Cumbrecita ! La randonnée vers Arroyo La Puente était incroyable. Le guide était super sympa et connaissait bien la région. Les paysages étaient à couper le souffle et chaque moment passé dans la nature était relaxant. C'était une journée parfaite pour se déconnecter et profiter du plein air.
