The route begins at the bridge that leads to the town of La Cumbrecita, where a hike with a mountain atmosphere and a deep connection with nature and local history begins. It crosses the Historic Center, leaving the main street behind to head north, towards the Cementerio Criollo.
For approximately two and a half hours of walking, the path unfolds between forests and mountain landscapes that invite you to connect with the environment. The destination is the Abanico Waterfall, a waterfall surrounded by a natural pool and guarded by a pine forest that creates an ideal setting for contemplation and relaxation.
Lunch time takes place at the Martínez Family's stand, located on the banks of El Riachuelo Stream, where the mountain atmosphere and tranquility invite you to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. Afterward, there will be time to explore the surroundings of the stand, including the stream and the surrounding forest, ideal for those who enjoy direct contact with nature.
The return to the village is made along the same path, thus completing an experience that combines adventure, history, and unique mountain landscapes, perfect for those seeking an authentic experience with La Cumbrecita.

Absolutely loved the Abanic Waterfall Trekking tour! The hike to the waterfall was an amazing journey through breathtaking landscapes. Our guide was cool and knowledgeable, sharing interesting tidbits about the area. The waterfall itself was stunning, a perfect spot to take in nature's beauty. Don't forget your camera! It's a moderate trek but totally worth it. Ending the day with some local snacks was the cherry on top. Tangol Tours did a fantastic job organizing everything.
