5.0/5 Stars - Based on 3 Reviews

RED BOOBY is a hotel accommodation located in Puerto Ayora, Ecuador, the principal urban center on Santa Cruz Island in the Galápagos. Its setting places guests within one of the destination’s main bases for exploring marine landscapes, protected natural areas and local island life. Puerto Ayora combines a working harbor, restaurants, shops, tour services and access points for excursions throughout Santa Cruz.

As publicly verifiable information about the property’s facilities, room categories and additional services is limited, the accommodation’s clearest value lies in its destination: a practical base for travelers seeking a stay in Puerto Ayora while discovering the Galápagos. The property can suit independent visitors, couples and small groups who prioritize location and access to the town’s points of interest. Specific details about dining, wellness facilities, business amenities and in-room equipment are not available.

Key highlights include:

  • Puerto Ayora location on Santa Cruz Island
  • Access to the town’s harbor and visitor services
  • Convenient base for Galápagos excursions
  • Connection with local restaurants, shops and tour operators
  • Suitable setting for leisure-focused island stays

RED BOOBY is an accommodation property in Puerto Ayora, Ecuador, a lively coastal town on Santa Cruz Island. Puerto Ayora is widely recognized as the main service and tourism center of Santa Cruz, with a harbor, restaurants, shops, tour operators and everyday local activity. The town also provides access to several well-known points of interest, including the Charles Darwin Research Station, the fish market and the trails leading toward Tortuga Bay. Exact distances from the hotel to these attractions are not publicly verified.

The destination offers a useful combination of urban convenience and natural surroundings. Guests staying in Puerto Ayora can use the town as a starting point for excursions to beaches, highland landscapes, lava formations and wildlife areas across Santa Cruz. Boat connections from the harbor also support visits to nearby islands and marine sites, subject to local tour arrangements and operating conditions. This makes the location relevant for travelers planning a varied Galápagos itinerary rather than a resort-centered holiday.

Publicly available information does not confirm a specific architectural style, interior concept or official hotel classification for RED BOOBY. It is therefore best presented as a straightforward hotel accommodation in Puerto Ayora, with its principal appeal connected to the destination and its access to local activities. Confirmed information about room categories, such as standard rooms, suites, family rooms or shared accommodation, is not available. Details about views, layouts, bedding and accessibility should also be considered unavailable until provided by the property.

Information about on-site gastronomy is limited. A restaurant, bar, breakfast service or kitchen facilities cannot be confirmed from the available public data. Puerto Ayora itself offers a broad selection of dining options, including casual restaurants, seafood venues and cafés, although the hotel’s exact relationship with these establishments is not specified. Likewise, no verified information is available about a pool, spa, gym, wellness area or organized entertainment.

The location can appeal to couples seeking a base for nature-focused travel, families organizing excursions on Santa Cruz and independent visitors interested in the island’s wildlife and local culture. It may also work for business travelers who need accommodation in the town, although meeting rooms, workspaces and corporate services are not publicly verified. Overall, RED BOOBY is most accurately described as a Puerto Ayora lodging option whose documented value comes from its location within the Galápagos tourism hub. Property-specific amenities and service details remain not available.

A Peaceful Poolside Stay in Puerto Ayora

After a busy weekend exploring Santa Cruz Island, we were especially happy to return to Red Booby. The pool was spotless and wonderfully calm in the late afternoon, with cushioned loungers, shaded hammocks, and a little table for our morning coffee. Check-in took barely five minutes—Maria had our key and a map ready when we arrived at 4:10 p.m. Check-out was just as easy, with the bill settled in under three minutes. The shared sitting areas felt airy and welcoming after sightseeing. As retired travelers, we appreciated the peaceful pace and thoughtful service. We’d happily stay again.
