The adventure begins early in the morning with departure from El Calafate , traveling along the iconic Route 40 bordering Lake Argentino and crossing the historic Santa Cruz River, while the guide shares stories about the expeditions of Darwin and Fitz Roy through the region.
The journey continues to the legendary Parador La Leona , a Patagonia classic that has become almost a living museum of Route 40, where you can enjoy a rest surrounded by history and unique landscapes.
As we approach El Chaltén, the incredible views of the Andes Mountains will unfold before us, including the imposing Mount Fitz Roy, Mount Torre, and Viedma Glacier . Before reaching the town, we`ll make a scenic stop at the glacier viewpoint to admire one of Patagonia`s most photographed landscapes.
Once in El Chaltén, we`ll begin a guided hike to the famous Condor Lookout . This is an easy trek with a gentle slope that rewards the effort with extraordinary views of the entire mountain range, granite spires, glaciers, and the Río de las Vueltas valley.
Then we will enjoy an included lunch at a restaurant in the town centre, where you can choose from different typical and regional options.
In the afternoon we will take a second short walk to the beautiful Salto del Chorrillo , a waterfall of crystal clear waters surrounded by forests of lenga and ñire trees that offers a perfect environment to relax and take unforgettable photographs.
Before heading back, they will have free time to explore the streets of El Chaltén, visit a craft brewery, try classic Patagonian waffles, or enjoy a cozy tea house.

This tour was honestly awesome! The landscapes around El Chaltén totally blew me away – the hikes were just the right level of chill for me and still super beautiful. Our guide was really friendly, shared cool facts, and the stops for photos were perfect. Lunch at the local restaurant was tasty and just what I needed. Really fun, stress-free day trip that I’d absolutely recommend to anyone who wants a taste of Patagonia without hardcore trekking.
Galera, que passeio incrível! Fui super bem atendido pela equipe da Tangol e o Chaltén é simplesmente de tirar o fôlego. As trilhas são tranquilas, paisagens maravilhosas e aquele almoço ao ar livre foi top demais! Perfeito pra quem quer curtir a Patagônia sem muito perrengue. Recomendo forte pra todo mundo que quer uma experiência leve e inesquecível. Quero voltar!
Wow, was für ein genialer Tagesausflug! Die Landschaft rund um El Chaltén ist einfach atemberaubend. Die Wanderung war angenehm leicht und trotzdem voller spektakulärer Ausblicke. Das Mittagessen war lecker und es gab Zeit, tolle Fotos zu machen. Unser Guide war super freundlich und hat spannende Geschichten erzählt. Absolut empfehlenswert für Naturliebhaber, die Argentinien entspannt entdecken wollen!
J'ai vraiment adoré l'expérience avec Tangol ! Le voyage vers El Chaltén était superbe, les paysages sont incroyables et totalement à couper le souffle. La randonnée était adaptée pour tous les niveaux, et le déjeuner fourni était bien au top ! Notre guide était très cool, passionné et toujours prêt à répondre à nos questions.
