From El Calafate, you`ll travel along the historic "Estancias Road," passing through landscapes steeped in history and natural beauty. The experience includes a visit to the iconic Nibepo Aike Ranch, an authentic Patagonian barbecue, and an exclusive boat trip along the South Arm and Rich Arm of Lake Argentino to reach the Perito Moreno Glacier.
An ideal excursion for those who wish to combine culture, gastronomy, nature and adventure in a single day.
The excursion begins with a search for centrally located hotels in El Calafate . During the journey to Los Glaciares National Park , the bilingual guide shares information about the flora, fauna, and history of the region.
The tour follows the old Route 15 , historically known as the "Estancias Road" , passing through typical Patagonian landscapes and stories linked to native peoples, pioneers and first settlers.
The first stop is at the traditional Estancia Nibepo Aike , where you`ll visit the old shearing shed, now a family history museum. Then you`ll enjoy an authentic Patagonian lamb barbecue served in the estancia`s barbecue area, accompanied by a salad bar, dessert, and drinks. A vegetarian option is also available upon request.
After lunch, the experience continues towards the South Glacier Pier to begin the navigation through the South Arm and Rico Arm of Lake Argentino.
During the tour, you`ll disembark at Playa de las Monedas , a site accessible only by boat. From there, a gentle 40-minute walk through the native forest leads to the Mirador de las Rocas viewpoint , offering a privileged view of the Perito Moreno Glacier . Those who prefer not to hike can remain on board and reach the viewpoint by boat.
Once aboard again, you will sail in front of the impressive southern face of the Perito Moreno Glacier , with the possibility of observing ice calving and appreciating the advance of the glacier towards the Magellan Peninsula, a phenomenon known worldwide for its famous rupture.
Finally, the boat lands at Puerto Bajo de las Sombras , from where you`ll access the Perito Moreno Glacier walkways . The walk along the walkways allows you to view the glacier from different perspectives and enjoy one of the most iconic landscapes of Argentine Patagonia.
After more than an hour exploring the panoramic balconies , the return to El Calafate begins at sunset.

¡Una experiencia inolvidable! El tour estuvo súper bien organizado, la navegación en el lago frente al glaciar me dejó sin palabras y el almuerzo en la estancia fue riquísimo. Todo el equipo muy atento y dispuesto a ayudar. Recomiendo esta excursión al 100% para los que buscan algo lleno de paisajes y buena onda.
Wow, what an unforgettable day! The whole experience was super smooth and well-organized. Loved chilling at the estancia, tasting delicious Patagonian food, then cruising so close to the breathtaking glaciers. Seriously, take your camera—you’ll want a million pics. Galera, que experiência incrível! O passeio pelas geleiras de El Calafate foi simplesmente sensacional. A navegação é linda, as paisagens são de tirar o fôlego e o almoço estava delicioso. Recomendo demais pra quem quer explorar a Patagônia de um jeito diferente. O pessoal da Tangol foi super atencioso e deixou tudo muito fácil. Vale cada centavo. Não deixem de fazer!
Wow, was für ein unglaubliches Erlebnis! Die Übernachtungstour mit Mittagessen und Gletscherfahrt war einfach top. Die Guides waren super nett, die Natur rund um El Calafate atemberaubend und die Bootsfahrt am Gletscher war ein echtes Highlight. Das Essen war lecker und wir konnten sogar mit anderen coolen Reisenden plaudern. Für Abenteuerfans und Naturliebhaber einfach perfekt! Ich kann Tangol Tours wirklich jedem weiterempfehlen. Ein unvergessliches Erlebnis!
Franchement, ce tour sur le glacier était incroyable ! L'équipe de Tangol est super sympa et tout était bien organisé. La navigation avec vue sur les icebergs, c'était magique ! Le déjeuner était délicieux et on a appris plein de trucs sur la région. En plus le paysage, wow, ça coupe le souffle !
