Our first stop will be the archaeological remains of Las Peñas,
just 15 kilometers away. Here, in addition to exploring ancient Inca ruins, you
can marvel at endemic birds such as
the Chestnut-breasted Mountain-finch and the White-tufted Sunbeam.
Our journey will then take us to
the majestic Abra Panticalla, where
we will continue birdwatching in a spectacular high Andean setting. At a
maximum altitude of 4,316 meters above sea level, the Abra Málaga Pass is a paradise for nature lovers and bird
conservation enthusiasts.
Throughout the day, you will have
the opportunity to spot an incredible diversity
of birds, including the Inca Wren, Unstreaked Tit-tyrant, Cuzco Brushfinch,
Rusty-fronted Canastero, Marcapata Spinetail, Creamy-crested Spinetail,

the Junin Canastero.

Wow, this Abra Malaga Birdwatching tour from Ollantaytambo was incredible! The guides were super knowledgeable and the scenery was stunning. Saw so many amazing birds, including some rare species.
