We booked this for our anniversary, and the calm pace made it feel wonderfully personal. Our guide, Mateo, knew the Cozumel reef like a local map, pointing out a tiny spotted eel beneath a ledge and explaining why we should never touch the starfish. The sandbar water was unbelievably clear, and seeing manta rays glide below us near the deeper blue was unforgettable. He also timed our stops well, moving us away from a busier boat and toward a quieter patch where the fish gathered. Mateo handled every detail patiently, including my nervous first jump in. A beautiful, thoughtful morning on the island.

Unser Guide Mateo kannte die Sandbank bei El Cielo erstaunlich genau und erklärte, warum man die Seesterne keinesfalls anheben darf. Er entdeckte sogar einen kleinen Rochen im flachen Wasser, bevor ihn jemand sah. Der Transfer vom Hotel kam um 7:40 Uhr pünktlich; der Fahrer wartete bereits mit Namensschild. Auch das Boot legte ohne Verzögerung ab. Die Ausrüstung war sauber, die Gruppe angenehm klein. Mateo beantwortete geduldig jede Frage – ein liebevoll organisierter Tag.

Depuis la plage de Cozumel, le bateau nous a emmenés vers un banc de sable clair où les étoiles de mer semblaient posées sur le fond. Ensuite, près de Punta Sur, l’eau turquoise devenait plus profonde et les raies manta glissaient avec une élégance incroyable. Le groupe était petit, détendu et vraiment sympa ; on s’est même retrouvés à partager des tacos après la baignade. Notre guide a repéré une tortue à quelques mètres, joli bonus. J’ai adoré l’ambiance simple, les paysages et cette journée d’anniversaire hors du temps.
