Turismo Buenos Aires
Todo excelente.
Our tour is done walking and traveling by public transport since the idea is to know, in a sustainable way and without losing sight of the daily reality of the Buenos Aires, the most beautiful and interesting corners of the city.
You will live an experience of unique and real contact with our beloved metropolis exhaustively visiting the Center and its Historic Center, San Telmo, La Boca and Recoleta.
Along the tour you will taste typical foods such as empanadas, have a coffee at the colorful Caminito, etc. And, you will be able to take photos and explore areas outside the massive tourist circuit of Buenos Aires.
The walking tour begins at our office in the San Telmo neighborhood. This is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Buenos Aires and has a vibrant tango and arts scene. Its antique markets, street lighting (known as "lanterns"), cobblestones, ancient buildings and decoration Original, they add to the unique bohemian atmosphere of the place. Sundays are the busiest days as the street market comes to life around Plaza Dorrego.
Once the excursion begins, we will enter the San Telmo market, a building inaugurated in 1897 to supply the large wave of immigrants who arrived at that time. Today, you can still find some stores selling meat, vegetables and other groceries, although most of the stores offer local cuisine and specialties from around the world. Here we will taste some delicious empanadas.
We will continue our way along Defensa Street , in the heart of the San Telmo neighborhood, until we reach Plaza Dorrego and, after observing the various stalls selling crafts, we will take a bus to reach the La Boca, known for the stadium of the Boca Juniors team and the colorful Caminito street. We will be enchanted by the dancing and singing performances of street tango and we will learn how tango, soccer and different immigration influences have made Buenos Aires one of the most irresistible cities in the world. Here we will take a break while we enjoy a coffee and a snack.
On board another bus we will enjoy the views of the modern skyscrapers of Puerto Madero until you reach the Plaza de Mayo, the main square of Buenos Aires and the political heart of Argentina. We will visit the Metropolitan Cathedral and observe the Cabildo, the colonial City Hall, and the Casa Rosada, the seat of the executive power.
After touring the square, we will go to the Obelisk, symbol of Buenos Aires, going through the real experience of the daily life of an Argentine citizen and walking along the lively Avenida 9 de Julio, the widest avenue in the world. Historical buildings, monuments and streets will show the changes that the city has undergone since its founding.
On board the subway, We will arrive at the Recoleta neighborhood where we will find beautiful architecture, a large number of museums, elegant cafes and restaurants, exclusive avenues and shopping centers.
We will tour the impressive Recoleta Cemetery, the resting place of a large part of the country`s aristocratic families and recognized figures in history such as Eva Duarte Perón. Here we will end the tour, having the rest of the afternoon to walk and explore on your own.

Muy buena atenciôn de Agustina, nos ayudó mucho en organizar nuestro viaje y monitoreó nuestras actividades diarias👍
Great group size and overview of the city with a very informative and helpful guide!
It would be helpful to note in the description of the tour that this is not a private tour and the tour does not allow time for taking multiple selfies, shopping along the way and so on. WE were a group of 5 persons and we had to wait for a couple who stopped to shop 2 times, took selfies multiple times and the rest of us had to wait. The guide let them know that we had to get to the Recoleta cemetery by 1700hrs and that we had many things to see before that but this appeared to fall on deaf ears. In fact, they told me the tour should start earlier to accommodate for shopping and so on.
Sylvia was highly knowledgeable of and passionately conversant in the cultural, social, and political history of Buenos Aires and made this a very enlightening experience for me. She easily switched between English and Spanish for the benefit of those among us who were stronger in one or both. Every corner, stop or tombstone had its fascinating story. We kept rushing toward the end to make it in time (to shortly before closing) to the vast visual and historic wealth of the Recoleta Cemetery. HER very apt USE OF THIS LATTER FEATURE as a teaching tool might have come earlier in the tour (although the Sun mightve been merciless at noon) perhaps after the lunch stop in the San Telmo Mercado and I would recommend skipping the touristy hanging umbrella street (which is seen in Most Latin American Cities and not at all special... focus on S.Telmo as she did and maybe leave BOCA for last... as that probably stays open past 6p. She did an amazing job of staying on pace & definitely can conduct a tour of the Cemetery as it's Own Tour! Fascinating.
Silvia gave an excellent tour. I really appreciate her willingness to take on only a single person. She handled my questions well and provided lots of interesting information about Buenos Aires and it's people both past and present.
Denise was outstanding! It was good to have her all to ourselves. She was very sensitive and set a perfect pace. This very important for my husband who walks with a stick. We were given some very interesting information about the history of Argentina in addition to what life is like living here. I would thoroughly recommend this activity.
Excellent tour. Adriana, our tour guide was very helpful and friendly. Strongly suggested
Amei tudo!!!
