The best time to visit San Andrés is between December and April, when the weather is drier and sunnier, ideal for enjoying beaches and outdoor activities. During these months, rains are less frequent and you can make the most of the tourist attractions. Avoid hurricane season, which usually occurs between June and November, to ensure a safer and more pleasant trip.

To travel to San Andrés, Colombian citizens only need their ID card. Foreign tourists must present a valid passport and, depending on their country of origin, a tourist visa may be required. In addition, all visitors must pay for the entry card to San Andrés, known as the tourist card, which costs approximately 50,000 COP and is purchased at the airport before boarding the flight.

San Andrés offers a variety of tourist activities including snorkeling at the Aquarium and Johnny Cay, exploring Morgan's Cave, enjoying beaches like Spratt Bight and Rocky Cay, and water sports like diving and kitesurfing. Transportation in San Andres is varied and efficient for tourists. You can rent a golf cart, motorbike or bicycle to tour the island at your own pace.
