Frequently asked questions

The best time to visit El Soberbio is during the spring (September to November) and fall (March to May) months. These seasons offer pleasant weather and less rain, ideal for exploring natural wonders such as the Moconá Falls. In addition, moderate temperatures allow you to enjoy outdoor activities without the extreme heat of summer or the cold of winter.

To get to El Soberbio from Buenos Aires, the most convenient way is to take a flight to Posadas, the capital of Misiones, and then continue by bus or rented car. The drive from Posadas to El Soberbio takes approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes. There are also direct buses from Buenos Aires that take around 14-16 hours. I recommend checking the status of bus routes and schedules to better plan your trip.

El Soberbio offers a variety of tourist activities, with nature adventures being the most prominent. Visitors can enjoy hiking through the Misiones jungle, kayaking on the Uruguay River, and the impressive views of the Saltos del Moconá, a waterfall that runs parallel to the river. In addition, visitors can visit yerba mate plantations and learn about Guaraní culture through guided tours of local communities.

There are no mandatory vaccinations to visit El Soberbio, but it is recommended to be up to date with routine vaccinations. Also, since it is an area with mosquitoes, it is advisable to consult with a doctor about the yellow fever vaccine. It is also wise to bring insect repellent to prevent bites and minimize the risk of mosquito-borne diseases.

In El Soberbio, there are various accommodation options to suit different budgets and preferences. From cozy inns and cabins in the middle of nature, to lodges and boutique hotels with all the comforts. Most accommodations offer services such as guided tours, swimming pools, and catering, providing a comprehensive experience in connection with nature. It is advisable to book in advance, especially during the high season.

Dreamy Jungle Paddle: Arroyo Paraiso Kayak with Tangol Tours Adventure

If you're in Misiones, do this! Tangol's Arroyo Paraiso kayaking was the chill, nature-packed break I didn't know I needed. Calm, crystal stream, lush green all around, butterflies everywhere, and birds calling while we floated along. The guides were total pros - friendly, safety-focused, and shared cool local stories. Pace was easy for beginners but still fun, with a couple of gentle riffles and a refreshing swim stop. Loved the small group vibe and tasty mate/snack break. Tip: wear water shoes, bring bug spray and a dry bag. I left grinning ear to ear. Totally worth it.

Three Magical Days in Misiones Rainforest

Just back from the Misiones Rainforest 3D/2N with Tangol and wow—it was a blast. Smooth transfers, friendly guides who actually love the jungle, and a comfy lodge tucked in lush green. We hiked under giant trees, cooled off by hidden streams, and spotted crazy birdlife at sunrise. Meals were tasty and local. Everything felt safe, well-timed, and chill. If you want nature, silence, and starry nights, book it.
