During this period, you can enjoy the beaches, boat rides, and exploring the historic center without worrying about the heavy rains that usually occur in the summer months (December to March). In addition, July sees the famous Paraty International Literary Festival (FLIP), a cultural attraction worth witnessing.

Paraty is accessible primarily by road. If you are coming from Rio de Janeiro, the drive takes approximately 4 hours, and you can take the BR-101. From São Paulo, the drive is around 5 hours also on the BR-101. There is the option of arriving by bus, with regular services from both cities. Although Paraty does not have its own airport, the nearest airports are Galeão International Airport in Rio de Janeiro and Guarulhos Airport in São Paulo.
