In this tour, participants will have the opportunity to visit 2 wineries to contrast production methods.
The visit begins with a walk through the vineyards and wineries, including the underground areas, you will be guided by a Winemaker, who will show us the vineyards, production area and wine cellar.
In each winery, we will carry out an incredible tasting of between 3 and 5 high quality wines, where we will have the pleasure of tasting harmonized with varieties of cheese and cold cuts from the region.
Lunch is accompanied by the great local wines. It is possible to taste them and feel the pairing with the national gastronomy dishes. It is a three-step lunch: starter, main course and dessert. Each step is accompanied by one or more wines that match the chosen menu.
The obligatory suggestion is bovine meats, of excellent quality in Uruguay, they are usually grilled. It is a method that uses the embers produced by the wood fire giving it an exquisite smoky flavor.
Tannat is the ideal companion for Uruguayan meats, its structure and concentration of tannins soften the meats as well as the meats enhance the taste of wine. The dessert can be accompanied by a late harvest, a dessert wine or a sparkling demi sec.
Depending on the day and availability, we will visit 2 of the following wineries: Spinoglio, Pizzorno, Juanico, Marichal, Artesana, Antigua Stagnari or similar.
