tour begins with the departure from selected hotels in San Pedro de
Atacama. During the journey to our destination, it will be possible
to observe beautiful landscapes, while skirting the Licancabur
Volcano and Zapalieri River and climbing the Andes. The trip
continues along the road to Jama International Crossing (edge linking
Chile with Argentina), reaching 4,500 metres above the sea level.
first stop will be at the Bofedal of Quepiaco, where we will observe
typical fauna consisting mainly of flamingos and vicunas. Then we
will continue to reach the Pacana's Monks, a basin where you can see
the remains of volcanic sediment eroded by water and wind, a factor
that caused the rocks to take strange shapes, some even resemble
human silhouettes. This area is the main attraction of the place.
east we will find the Tara's Salar, where we will take a little walk
along its paths, to admire some of the most recognized natural
beauties surrounding San Pedro de Atacama. The tranquility of the
place also constitutes, together with the cathedrals, flora and
fauna, a precious attractive for visitors.
