Today we will start
our experience leaving for Port
Varas, to travel around the Lake
Llanquihue. We will be able to appreciate beautiful fields that decorate the landscape until
get to Villa Ensenada, one of the
main rural towns in southern Chile and one of the centers of
adventure tourism in the Los Region
Lagos.
Then we will head
towards the Parque Vicente Pérez Rosales,
which is a protected area framed in the Cordillera de Los Andes.
From here we will begin our excursion to the Osorno Volcano.
We will walk in
medium of native forests while
we approached the volcano. When we reach 1000 meters high, we will stop
to observe the crater "La
Bubble". This crater is 20 meters deep and still
we can appreciate the traces of the passage of lava, more than 130 years ago.
We will take some time to enjoy the panoramic view of the Petrohué River Valley, and the Calbuco Volcano in the Cordillera de Los
Andes.
From here we will start
the ascent until you reach the SKI Center and
Osorno Volcano Mountain, located at an altitude of 1,240 meters. We`ll be there
about an hour where there will be time to enjoy the scenery, take
photographs, and appreciate an incomparable view of the summit of the volcanoes with their glaciers
from eternal snow, to Calbuco, Lake
Llanquihue and the Pacific Ocean.
Optionally they will have
the opportunity to have a coffee or sandwich in the cafeteria of the place or
well take the means of elevation to ascend to 1,450 meters high
in the Spring Station or at 1,750 meters in the Glacier Station from where
there is a wonderful and impressive view of Lake Llanquihue.
After enjoying of the
wonderful scenery, we will return to our hotel in Puerto Varas.
