On the forested mountain shores of Lago Argentino, in utterly unspoilt countryside of incomparable natural beauty, the Estancia Nibepo Aike is situated inside the "Los Glaciares" National Park, on the provincial route Nordm;15, just 56 kms from the tourist town of El Calafate.

A new concept in tourism, aimed at offering the tourist the chance to visit a Patagonian Estancia, Nibepo Aike was set up by an outstanding Yugoslav pioneer, Don Santiago Peso, who settled in these parts at the beginning of the twentieth century.
Standing within the National Park Los Glaciares", Nibepo Aike is a typical pioneer estancia of the early twentieth century. Its main activity is beef cattle, with some sheep as a secondary line.

Guests are served typical food, based on the estancia`s own production of both meat and vegetables. There is a Quincho for Patagonian-style asados (the whole lamb roasted sread-eagled on a vertical stake in front of the glowing charcoal).

Bedrooms all have their own bathroom and heating, with electric light 24hrs a day.
Activities include: Horse-riding, trekking, excursions on the lake and to view the glaciers.
