Hike to the French Valley – Catamaran – Return to
Puerto Natales
We left Puerto Natales at approximately 07.00 to
To begin this experience, we will reach the Pudeto sector in the Torres del Parque.
Paine, and we will board the catamaran to reach the Paine Grande Sector.
Already in Paine Grande. We will travel to the heart of the park,
bordering the blue waters ofLake Skottsberg.
After approximately 2.5 hours of walking, you will arrive at the Italian camp
(park ranger), where you will begin your journey towards the French Valley. Climb over large rocks and then continue among the
forest until you reach the French Viewpoint.
Here, you will be rewarded with incredible views ofLos
Cuernos, turquoise glacial lagoons and amazing glaciers
pendants that fall down the east face of the mountain
Paine Grande(3,050 m.a.s.l.). If you`re lucky, you can hear the
resounding noise of the glacier and water falling, as well as being very common
to be able to witness an avalanche. Enjoy your box lunch and the well-deserved
rest.
Go down the
same path to the Italian camp
and then towards the Paine Grande refuge.
At 5:30 p.m.
you must take the catamaran that will take you back to Pudeto, where you must
board the regular bus at 6:00 p.m. bound for Puerto Natales. Or the
direct private transfer to your hotel in Puerto Natales.
