Depending on your choice, the guide will pick you up at 7:30 AM in Puerto Tranquilo, or we will meet at 9:45 AM at the dock in Bahia Exploradores (see below for directions if you choose the option without transfer). Once we arrive at the dock, we will have a brief safety talk and our guide will give us a general description of our trip.
After boarding the boat, we will have a delicious breakfast while enjoying the scenic beauty of the final stretch and delta of the Exploradores River. After the smooth navigation of approximately two hours, we will arrive at Laguna San Rafael National Park.
Once we disembark at the National Park`s dock, we will be able to take a short walk along an interpretive trail of 30 minutes round trip, to rest from the navigation, go to the bathroom and explore the ruins of the historic Ofqui Hotel.
After the brief rest we will return to the boat, and we will sail towards the wall of the San Rafael glacier, where we will be able to contemplate its imposing fall and the magnificent natural scenery that surrounds it. Here we will enjoy a delicious homemade lunch, and as a highlight, we will drink whiskey with thousand-year-old ice! in addition to enjoying a good coffee. After this pleasant navigation, we will return to the dock at 5 pm approximately, and those who chose the option with transfer will be returning to Puerto Tranquilo at 8 pm approximately.
