Day 1: Arrival in Argentina
Upon arrival at Argentina's international airport in Buenos Aires you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to spend at your leisure, either relaxing at your hotel, or exploring the city. Ask your Argentina travel specialist about a visit to Recoleta Cemetery, a beautiful historical site surrounded by parks and cafes and a busy arts and crafts market during weekends.
Day 2: Exploring the “South American Paris”
After breakfast at your hotel you'll be able to head out and explore Buenos Aires. Our service includes a half day bike or walking tour of the capital's most important buildings and neighborhoods with our local guides, including the city centre where you'll see the Obelisco and the Casa Rosada before continuing on to La Boca, San Telmo, Recoleta and Palermo.
At night, you will attend to one of the most traditional Tango Shows in the city, where dinner and Argentina red wine will be served.
Day 3: Delta del Tigre
Around Buenos Aires
On this day we will the visit the north district of Tigre, where the delta joins the Rio de la Plata. We will get there by boat, departing from the luxurious neighbourhood of Puerto Madero. Once there, we visit the market Puerto de Frutos, link between life on the islands and the mainland, which formerly supplied the islands and sold what was produced there. It is now a local tourist spot, visited every weekend by the people of Buenos Aires, as a place of leisure along the river. We will return late in the afternoon by train to downtown.
Day 4: Flight to Posadas
Buenos Aires to Esteros del Ibera
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Posadas, and transfer to the ranch located at the north of Iberá (Guaraní for ‘bright waters’), the name of an awe-inspiring natural reserve in the heart of Corrientes Province. Its lagoons, wetlands, swamps and dams are among the world’s most fascinating destinations for ecological and adventure tourism.
Day 5: Ibera Wetlands
After breakfast, we propose to visit he Valle lagoon, which is part of the lake system of the Iberá Natural Reserve, which comprises more than 60 ponds hosting a large biodiversity, including birds, fish, caimans, capybara and deer. We can also make some self guided trekking or bike rides.
Day 6: North to Iguazu
Ibera to Iguazu Falls
Following breakfast at the ranch in Ibera, you will be met for a transfer to Posadas bus terminal for your bus to Puerto Iguazu, the small town close to the spectacular Iguazu Falls. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your comfortable hotel in the town and the rest of the day will be free for you to relax in preparation for a full day of exploring tomorrow.
Day 7: Exploring the falls in Argentina
After breakfast you will be met for your excursion into the Iguazu National Park to spend the day exploring the falls and the surrounding rivers and jungle. The park consists of multiple trails that take you through the jungle onto wooden walkways built a few meters above the jungle floor and the waterways. These raised platforms protect the natural habitat of the jungle wildlife and allow spectacular views.
Day 8: Exploring the falls in Brazil
On arriving to the Visitors centre, we get on the panoramic bus that begin the tour of the park, then we descend to start walking the paths. From the first balcony we meet a panoramic view of the Argentinean falls. Then after 950 meters with stunning views over the Iguazu river we get to the falls on the Brazilian side.
Day 9: Salta La Linda
Iguazu to Salta
After breakfast you'll be driven to the airport for your flight to Salta where you'll be met and transferred to your hotel. The city of Salta is often referred to as Salta La Linda (meaning Salta the beautiful) due to its well-preserved colonial architecture and year-round warm climate. In the afternoon you will take a guided city tour visiting Salta's most important buildings and churches.
Day 10: Quebrada De Humahuaca Tour
Today you will begin a excursion in many of north-western Argentina's geographical highlights.
An incredible trip through the Quebrada de Humahuaca! Declared a World Heritage Site, this area where the landscape and the colours of the hills mix with the equally colourful cultures, is an ideal destination for those who want to know more about Argentina's past and heritage. It is a journey of social contact and a ancestral cultures.
Day 11: Back To The Heights
Our tour Back to the Heights, will allow you to discover the imposing landscape of the Salinas Grandes (Great Salt Flats), located between the provinces of Salta and Jujuy. Let yourself be amazed by this scenario that extends over 200 km2, visit typical villages of the region, travel the famous National Route No 40, and much more!
Day 12: Cafayate Day Trip
Salta and Cafayate
After breakfast, you'll be met for your full day tour to Cafayate. Heading out of the city to the south, you'll pass through large fields of tobacco plantations as you head towards the wine producing town of Cafayate. Upon arrival, we will visit a winery with wine tasting included and then we will have lunch (not included). We wil tour around the city and then you spend some time in the handicraft market. In the afternoon, we return to Salta through Las Conchas Gorge, stopping in “Posta de las Cabras”, an inn well known for its goat cheese.
Day 13: Back to capital city
Salta to Buenos Aires
This morning you'll be met at your hotel and transferred to the airport in Salta for your return flight to Buenos Aires. Upon arrival at the domestic airport you'll be welcomed and transferred to your hotel in Buenos Aires. You will have your afternoon to walk on your own.
Day 14: San Antonio de Areco Day Trip
Located at the Pampas, 113 km from Buenos Aires, this picturesque town conveys all the essence of gaucho life and customs and retains the architectural lines of the Colonial and Renaissance buildings of the XIX century, in spite of the passing of time.
After visiting the town, we will spend the day at one of the historical ranches, where we will have the chance to immerse ourselves in the life of a working estancia, dedicated mainly to raising Hereford and Aberdeen Angus Stock.
Day 15: Buenos Aires at Leisure
You will have this day free of activities, for making your last minute shopping, of for taking one of the optional activities, such as a one day trip to Uruguay by ferry, visiting the football stadiums of the two main teams in Argentina (River Plate and Boca Jrs), or just relaxing on your own at one of the traditional cafes of the city.
Day 16: Leaving Argentina
After breakfast at your hotel you'll be met for your transfer to the international airport and your flight back home.
