Friday - Day 1
Arrival at Baltra Island / Bachas Beach
AM: Flying from Quito or Guayaquil, the flight will arrive around noon (local time) to San Cristobal, where you will be welcomed in the lobby by our guide, who will be waiting for your arrival to take you to Yacht Anahí. Your luggage will be taken by one of our crew members who, aboard the small Zodiacs, will transport you directly to the yacht. The captain and crew will welcome you on board and then you will have your designated cabins. After lunch, our guide will give you a brief explanation about the afternoon activities.
PM: Bachas Beach: The beach sand is formed by decaying corals, making it white and soft, being also one of the preferred nesting places for sea turtles. Nearby we can also find a small lagoon where we can observe flamingos, black-necked stilts, thrushes, as well as two old ships that were abandoned during World War II. In addition, we will also find sea lions, sea iguanas and sea birds resting on the beach. We will enjoy the tranquility of the beach, as well as spend some time with the playful sea lions that like to swim with the visitors.
At 7pm we will have an official reception, followed by a delicious dinner. After dinner, your guide will give you information about the activities of the following day.
Saturday - Day 2
Genovesa Island
AM: Darwin Bay: A beautiful area of the bay due to the great diversity of seabirds that nest in the mangroves that dominate the area. These include red-footed boobies, Nazca boobies, swallowtail gulls, Galapagos Petrels, seabirds, Darwin finches, mockingbirds and Galapagos doves.
PM: "Paos del Príncipe Felipe": We will climb 25 meters of stairs in one of the best nesting places for birds on the islands. We will have the opportunity to snorkel, kayak, walk and take a walk in a panga.
Sunday - Day 3
Plaza and Santa Fe Island
AM: Plaza Islands: These islands have unusual vegetation, which creates an interesting landscape that helps to improve the Galapagos fauna and flora. It is also possible to observe land iguanas in the shadow of cacti. The main attractions of the Plaza Islands include land iguanas, sea lions and swallow-tailed gulls, as well as lizards, insular insects, red-billed sparrows, frigate birds and pelicans that glide over the cliffs. Then we will return to the yacht for lunch and a well deserved rest.
PM: An extremely scenic island, where we can visit two different trails, with one of them leading to a beautiful viewpoint at the top of a cliff, where it is possible to find land iguanas endemic to the island. The other trail is a small circular path near the beach, where we can observe another colony of land iguanas endemic to the island. Here we will also have the possibility to kayak, snorkel, panga or hike, in order to observe and enjoy nature. Then we will return to the yacht for dinner and a moment of relaxation.
Monday - Day 4
San Cristobal Island: Punta Pitt, Kicker Rock and Ilha Lobos
AM: Punta Pitt: Considered one of the most beautiful and impressive places in the Galapagos, it has become one of the preferred nesting places for seabirds. Here we can see three species of frigate birds and their nesting sites in the same area. Then we will return to the yacht for lunch.
PM: Kicker Rock: A gigantic and impressive rock formation known locally as "Sleeping Leon". On the cliffs we can see a series of blue-footed boobies, pelicans and other sea birds. During our snorkeling activity we can observe sharks, sea turtles, rays and several species of colorful fish along with the impressive rock formation. Later, we will take a walk on the island of Lobos, a small islet separated from the main island by a narrow stretch of calm waters.
The island`s atmosphere helps to increase its tranquility and primitive beauty: a typical example of the Galapagos Islands.
Tuesday - Day 5
San Cristobal Island: El Junco Lagoon, Cerro Colorado
AM: In the morning, our guide will take us to the top of San Cristóbal Island. Next, our tour has 2 options. The first option departs from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, and involves a visit to El Junco Lagoon. For hundreds of years, rainwater and condensation have caused an accumulation of water in the caldera of an extinct volcano, creating a paradise for frigate birds and turtles.
Alternatively, we will visit the turtle breeding center "Cerro Colorado". There we will have a pleasant walk along a path that allows us to be in close contact with the turtles, which can vary from the smallest to the oldest of the giants.
After our visit, we will depart to the airport for our return flight to Quito or Guayaquil.
