WHAT TO BRING?
- Welcome kit.
- Route map provided in the national park.
- Headlamp with new batteries.
- Camera with extra batteries and/or charger.
- Sunscreen (SPF 50).
- Lip balm with sunscreen (SPF 50).
- Bottle of water (passengers with a program include a bottle).
- Mosquito repellent.
- First aid box
- (pain relievers, antihistamines, antispasmodics, and your personal medications.)
- It is not possible to buy any type of medicine inside the park.
- It is also advisable to carry patches for injuries or to prevent injuries (type moleskin, compeed, kt tape.)
- It is very important to protect the things you carry inside your backpack from the rain. You can use:
- Dry bags
- Ziploc bags
- Large garbage bag inside your backpack.
- Comfortable and light shoes, waterproof if you can, remember that every day is a long walk.
- Socks (any type, they don`t have to be technical, but take several.)
- Comfortable pants and T-shirt for sleeping.
- Trekking pants and waterproof type trouser cover (preferably with side zippers).
- Waterproof polar fiber jacket or jacket.
- Lightweight and waterproof windbreaker.
- First inner layer.
- Underwear.
- Hat and gloves.
- Backpack (Recommended 40 liter capacity).
- Toiletries. Personal hygiene set.
- Quick drying towel.

- Pick up the Welcome Kit the day before at the office at Manuel Bulnes 83. Puerto Natales between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
- Hike times, distances and slopes are indicative.
- Each passenger must carry their personal equipment, box lunch and water throughout the program route.
- We recommend using a 40 liter backpack.
- Luggage custody is offered at the Puerto Natales office for those who wish to leave belongings during their hike.
- All itineraries, schedules and excursions are subject to changes and weather conditions.
INCLUDED MENU
Meals are a single menu, with the option of a vegetarian or vegan menu.
- If you prefer a Vegan or Vegetarian menu, you must inform yourself when making your reservation.
- Lunches during the program will be box lunches that are taken on the tour.
- In all the shelters there are food stores where you can buy basic foods and snacks.
- Some refuges have bars serving wines, spirits and local beer.

Menu option:
- Breakfast: Cereals, toast, coffee, tea, fruit and yogurt.
- Lunch: sandwich, fruit, mixed nuts and chocolate.
- Dinner: Pasta, stew or chicken with rice.

Details of Day Tours

We will start this adventure leaving from the city closest to the park. Puerto Natales. The day before beginning of the experience you must remove your Kit Welcomein the office of Manuel Bulnes 83. Puerto Natales between 17:00 and 18:00 hrs.

Day 1: Catamaran – Walk to Grey

Today your adventure. Leaving very early from your hotel in Puerto Natales, in a private transfer that will take you to the bus station. From this place it will depart the bus heading to the Torres del National Park Paine, exactly to the Pudeto sector to board the catamaran Hielos Patagónico, which will sail for approximately 35 minutes through Lake Pehoé, arriving directly at the Paine Grande refuge. From here the walk begins towards Grey.

The journey begins through a narrow and winding valley that leads to theLaguna The Ducks. As you continue to progress, you will begin to see parts of the immense Southern Ice Field, as well as also the ice floes of Lake Grey. After passing the sometimes very windy viewpoint, the path descends through a mountainous forest until reaching the Gray refuge. From here, if you continue walking for about 10 minutes, you will reach the Mirador of Gray Glacier, where you will find yourself face to face with one of the arms of Campo de Hielo Sur. Dinner will be served at the shelter between 19:00 and 21:00 hrs.

Day 2: Free Day at Grey

For a view unforgettable Gray Glacier, this day You can reserve about 3 to 4 hours in the morning (round trip) past the refuge heading towards the famous hanging bridges. It is by far the best glacier viewpoint. In addition to contemplating the impressive ice, you can see deep into the ravines formed by the rivers and waterfalls that come from the Cordón Olguín. If you are lucky, you will be able to see ice falls from the Glacier towards the cold waters of Lake Grey. In the afternoon you can do any of the activities such as ice walking or Kayaking in Gray Glacier.

* Meals: Breakfast, Box lunch and dinner

 

 

Day 3: Hike from Gray to Paine Grande

Enjoy breakfast in the shelter dining room Grey and not forget to order your box lunch. In case you have not managed to visit the hanging bridges the day before, you can take the morning to go and explore the spectacular panoramic views of the Glacier Gray. Or do some of the Kayak Ice Walk activities in Gray Glacier.

Today you will walk through the same path to go back to Paine Grande. Rest and enjoy dinner in the shelter`s dining room.

Day 4: Walk to the French Valley – Catamaran – Return to Puerto Natales

Today`s walk It will be round trip, starting and ending in Paine Big. Travel to the heart of the park, bordering the blue waters of Skottsberg Lake. After approximately 2.5 hours of walking, you will arrive at the Italian camp (park ranger), where You will begin your journey towards the Valley of French. Climb large rocks and then continue through the forest until reach the French Viewpoint. Here, you will be rewarded with incredible views of Los Cuernos, turquoise glacial lagoons and amazing glaciers pendants that fall down the east face of the mountain Paine Grande(3,050 m.a.s.l.). If you`re lucky, you can hear the resounding noise of the glacier and falling water, as well as being very common to be able to witness an avalanche. Enjoy your box lunch and the well-deserved rest.

Go down the same path to the Italian camp and then towards the Paine Grande refuge.

 

At 5:30 p.m. you must take the catamaran that will take you back to Pudeto, where you must board the regular bus at 6:00 p.m. bound for Puerto Natales.
