Details of Day Tours

We will start together at the Ushuaia tourist pier where check-in takes place prior to navigation

We will board a catamaran and begin to navigate the Beagle Channel in a northeast direction for two and a half hours. Throughout the tour we will observe the different islands that make up the Channel, such as the Isla de Lobos and the Isla de los Pájaros, where the One-haired Sea Lions are found, the imperial cormorants and royal cormorants. We will arrive at the southernmost lighthouse in all of Argentina, the Les Eclaireurs lighthouse.

Then we will continue sailing until we reach Estancia Harberton, the first Estancia Fueguina.
Here we will board a semi-rigid covered boat. We will sail for 15 minutes to reach Martillo Island. There we will get off the boat, with a specialized guide, to stay on the island for an hour.

While we walk along marked paths so as not to invade the habitat natural habitat of penguins, we will be able to see more than 1,000 nests of the Magellanic species and around 9 nests of Gentoo Penguins, the only ones in South America. This is the perfect habitat for penguins, as there are very few predators in the area, abundant food, and the soil and vegetation provide adequate shelter for nests and breeding.

We will always be accompanied by a guide who will teach us about the life of these magnificent seabirds and will also ensure that the island`s rules of conduct are followed.

Back at the ranch we will learn about the history of the Bridges family and their relationship with the natives of Tierra del Fuego.
We will also visit the Acatushún Museum of Birds and Marine Mammals, created for thestudy of the biology of marine mammals. During the guided tour we will see one of the most important collections in the world with more than 2,800 specimens of mammals and 2,300 specimens of birds.

In the middle of the visit,< b> we will take a break and have time to enjoy a comforting lunch (not included). In the ranch, there is the Acawaia Restaurant, where delicious traditional food is prepared, with fruits and vegetables harvested in the organic garden.
Due to its location on the hill, you will not only be able to enjoy typical dishes of the stay, you will do so with a stunning view of the Beagle Channel and its islands, the mountains and the center of the ranch.

After the tour we will be returning by land to the local port of Ushuaia.
