We continue with the journey towards the Cuesta del Portezuelo and on the way, we are going to visit the Plaza Aborigen, where there are figures that allude to them. After traveling about 18 kilometers from the city, we will begin to ascend by the Cuesta de Portezuelo, a winding road which has an extension of 20 km, with more than 300 curves on its route, which will allow us observe the incredible landscapes green that they are there. Here, we will go up to the first viewpoint located at 1070 meters above sea level, where they will have free time to take photos.
We will begin the descent, and once we are at the base, we will pay a visit to the Museum and Monument to the Zamba Landscape of Catamarca. Once finished, we will continue with the excursion until we reach the Birthplace of the Esquiú family, considered National Historical Monument since 1935 because Inside, furniture and objects belonging to Fray M. Esquiú are preserved, such as the bed, the armchair and others. fabric work elements used by those who lived in said house. We will continue towards the town of La Puerta, a summer village where we will do a city tour surrounded by its scenic beauty, ancient traditions and history. Then, we will go to Pueblo Perdido, a space where we find archaeological remains located in the Quebrada del Tala and in the which, there is a Interpretive Center. There we will descend and we will be around a hour and a half approximately for tour your rooms exhibition and its laboratory and in this way, know in depth the whole story that is hidden there.
Around noon, we will arrive at Villa El Rodeo, a summer town with an excellent microclimate where we will do a city tour traveling approximately 60 kilometers to know all its corners, walking through its dirt streets and chalets, all this accompanied by the surrounding landscape. For lunch , we will have free time in a restaurant in the town. (Lunch not included).
Then, we`ll get to The Joints to make a city tour for this green village surrounded of its incredible natural landscape and the rivers that run along it. From here, we head and we will visit the El Jumeal Dam, a small water mirror located at the foot of the Sierra Colorada, where we will do a descent of 15 minutes approximately to appreciate the panoramic view that this place offers us and take many photos in the place.
Finally, we will go to the Gruta de la Virgen del Valle, central religious place of the province which is covered by a template built for protect the image of the Immaculate Conception Our Lady of the Valley. In this space, we will be around 30 minutes and in addition to know its history , we will be able to appreciate the nature that surrounds it.
After 8 hours, we will return to the city and we will drop you off at your central hotel.
