Capital City of the homonimous province, San Luis was founded in 1594 with the name of "San Luis de Loyola Nueva Medina del Río Seco" and is located at the foot of the "Sierras Grandes" (Big Mountains) by the river Chorrillos in the area called "Punta de los Venados".
The relief of this area presents mountains with different shapes and heights and, among them, great plains outstand.
Near San Luis, one can also enjoy the excellent thermal waters of Balde or San Jerónimo which have springs that provide one with therapeutic, reconstituent and invigorating actions.
