Today we will embark
on an exciting adventure and for 3 days, we will immerse ourselves in landscapes
impressive while we sail through the fjords
and Canalesmore remote in the southern region of Chile.
This is the "Northern Route" that goes from Puerto
Natales, gateway to southern Patagonia and the closest city to the
Torres del Paine National Park, until it culminates in the capital of the Region of the
Lagos, the picturesque coastal town of Puerto Montt.
Check in for this adventure will be the night before
at departure, at 9:00 p.m. at the Costaustralis hotel, the closest to the
dock in Puerto Natales, then our team at the port will be waiting
to receive the luggage and provide you with all the necessary information. Yeah

Day 1: Angostura White - Canal Santa María.

Day 2: Puerto Edén - Cotopaxi.
Today we will begin
navigating the Morla Vicuña Canals, Paso
Escobar Doxrud, Sóbenes Pass (the southernmost of our route), Union Canal, Collingwood Strait, Farquar Pass, Canal
Sarmiento, Angostura Guide, Inocentes, Concepción, Canales Wide, Paso del Abismo
and Paso del Indio. Each channel and pass will offer us spectacular views and
the opportunity to connect with the virgin nature of Patagonia.
Our first
stop will be in the town of Puerto Edén,
located on Wellington Island and home to
the last population of Alacalufes indigenous people in Chile. This enclave is part
of the Bernardo O`Higgins National Park. During our brief stay in Puerto
Eden, only boarding and disembarking of local residents will be carried out.
After leaving
behind Puerto Edén, we will continue towards the north, passing through the Angostura Inglesa, a narrow pass that
Allows navigation of only one ship at a time. We will continue our journey
through the Messier Canal, where we will have the
chance to spot the cargo ship
"Captain Leonidas". This ship has been stranded since the 70s
on a semi-submerged islet called"Under
Cotopaxi" and now serves as a navigation lighthouse and point of
reference for sailors who navigate these waters.
Day 3: Gulf of Penas - Oceanic Area - Canal

During the afternoon, we
We will delve into ocean navigation in the
Gulf of Penas sector, a journey that lasts approximately 12
hours. During this time, there is the exciting possibility of sighting
Humpback, Minke and Blue whales, depending on the time of year and the
climatic conditions.
The dawn on
Captain, based on weather information, tidal currents and events
astronomical objects such as the Moon and the Sun, will determine the most appropriate route to
continue our journey towards the Oceanic Area. Among the options we could
visit:
Pulluche Channel: This option will take us to
through the Moraleda Canal, known for being an important transit point
for sailors and canoeists in the area. Afterwards, we will sail through the Canal
Errázuriz and the Chacabuco Canal before entering the lush Pulluche Canal, surrounded
of lenga and cypress forests. Here, we may have the opportunity to see
dolphins, sea lions and wild birds.
Ninualac Canal: We will navigate the Canal
Moraleda during the morning, passing near Tuap Island, and then turning
towards the west and navigate through the Ninualac Channel, emerging into the open sea at the
late.
Boca del Guafo: If we choose this exit,
We will sail between the Chonos Archipelago and Guafo Island to
quickly access the Oceanic Area.
Finally, if the
option is to follow Mar Abierto through the Boca del Guafo, we will navigate between the
Chonos Archipelago to continue our route to Puerto Montt.
Day 4: Puerto Montt.
Continuing our
Journey north, we`ll sail through the Gulf
from Corcovado, then through the Apiao Channel, Gulf of Ancud and Seno de Reloncaví.
Our journey will culminate in Puerto Montt,
where we will arrive in the morning to finish this exciting adventure
maritime through the fjords and channels of Chilean Patagonia.
